Russland ist ein rohstoffreiches Land. So entfielen 8% der Weltproduktion an Blei, 2% der Welt-Zinkproduktion und 5% der Weltproduktion an Kupfer ein Rohstofflieferant von Weltrang. Die vorliegende Studie informiert über die regionale Verteilung der mineralischen Rohstoffbasis von Blei, Zink und Kupfer in der Russischen Föderation, den Anteil der verschiedenen Lagerstättentypen an diesen Vorräten und der Bergwerksproduktion sowie Über die Entwicklung von Produktion, Bedarf, Export und Import im Zeitraum von 1990 bis 1996.
Die in dieser Studie vorgestellten neuen Daten sind für die Bewertung der Reserven dieser Metalle in Russland wichtig und sollen interessierten Partnern als Basis für die Beurteilung dienen.

The Federation of Russian States is a country rich in natural assets, especially ores. 8% of the word lead production, 2% of the worldwide zinc production and 5% of the copper produced originate in Russia and make that country an important producer of base metals.
The purpose of the this study is to present information on the regional distribution of lead, zinc and copper-deposits in the Russian Federation and present the mined percentages, as well as to present an overview of the types of deposits that these metals are produced from. Furthermore, the authors review the development of production, consumption export and import of these metals between 1990 and 1996.
The new data are presented in this study so as to allow an assessment of the base metal potential of the Russian Federation.
