Abstract
Pseudosiderocelopsis antarctica gen. et sp. nov. is described from wet soil in the vicinity of power plant at H. ARCTOWSKI station, Admiralty Bay region, King George Island, South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. Detailed ultrastructural studies included the complete life cycle as well as the survival stage. The cell wall sculpture of vegetative cells and autospores was one of important features which was considered when describing a new genus.
