Abstract

Since 1920 two criteria of water quality, the phosphatephosphorus-concentration at the full wintercirculation and the phytoplancton density the annual mean at 0—10 m depth of cells/ml, have increased greatly. In the half-logarithmic system of coordinates a straight line runs through the relative points, and this rises more in the shallow Gnadensee than in the deep Obersee. With increasing phosphat-concentration the efficiency on phytoplankton production in both basins of the lake decrease logarithmically.
