Abstract

Euthria erythraea sp. nov., dredged in the southern Red Sea by the RV Meteor in 1987, is described as new. Conchological differences in sculpture, shape, and pattern serve to distinguish this species from Euthria vokesi Fraussen & García, 2008 from Somalia, its closest congener, and Euthria poppei Fraussen, 1999 from Mozambique.
