Abstract

A new species of anabathrid gastropod, Afriscrobs ampliorscapus sp. nov., is described from the Western Cape Province of South Africa. The diagnostic features of the species, including its shell, head, male copulatory organ, operculum, and radula morphology, are described. The morphology is illustrated by photographs, digital drawings, and scanning electron microscopic images, and is compared with the other known species of the genus. Additionally, the radula morphology is expressed in tooth formulae.
