Abstract
The land snails Vermetujanulus boessnecki n. gen., n. sp. (Gastrodontidae) and Steenbergia wohlmuthorum n. sp. (Geomitridae) are described from late Pleistocene eolianites in the west of the island of Porto Santo (Madeira Archipelago). Vermetujanulus boessnecki is the first record of a gastrodontid from that island.
