Abstract
Unilateral clouding is always found on one body side of larger fossil arthropods in baltic amber pieces as well as in other fossil resins. The clouding seems to be induced by similar postmortem exudation processes of the enclosed animals and provides proof of concurring climatic conditions during origin.
