Transfer of Stenopterobia and Surirella taxa (Bacillariophyceae) described from the insular Southeast Asia to the genus Iconella

Abstract
According to the recent classification of the diatom order Surirellales, the members of the Robustae-group of Surirella and Campylodiscus as well as Stenopterobia belong to the reinstated genus Iconella. Therefore, we propose to transfer Stenopterobia and the robustoid Surirella taxa described from the insular Southeast Asia to Iconella. Fifty-three new combinations and new names are proposed. For each taxon the type is indicated.
