Abstract

I have scant faith in frequency-analysis of 14C dates as a tool for palaeoclimatic reconstruction, and still less after reading the recent paper by Geyh & Jäkel (1974 a), the main conclusions of which are also summarised elsewhere (Geyh & Jäkel, 1974 b), and are in danger of over-ready acceptance by some uncritical readers avid for hard data with which to test or confirm their palaeoclimatic models.
