Kurzfassung
Im Jahre 1964 ist eine Gesellschaft der Geomorphologen der Türkei, Adresse: P.K. 160, Bakanliklar, Ankara, gegründet worden, von welcher inzwischen 3 Publikationen vorliegen. Publ. of Assoc. of the Geomorphologists of Turkey No. 1, Ankara 1973 (119 S.) enthält einen Überblick über die sehr vielseitige Betätigung von Geomorphologen und anderen Geowissenschaftlern an den Hochschulen, den wissenschaftlichen Instituten, in den Arbeitsstäben einer ganzen Reihe türkischer Ministerien und der großen staatlichen Wirtschaftsunternehmungen. Es folgen gedrängte Angaben über die Entwicklung geowissenschaftlicher Forschung und Nutzanwendung im ersten Halbjahrhundert der Türkischen Republik sowie Berichte über den ersten Kongreß für wissenschaftliche und technische Geomorphologie in der Türkei im März 1973 in Ankara, über die Geowissenschaftliche Konferenz aus Anlaß der 50-Jahr-Feier der Türkischen Republik im Dezember 1973 in Ankara, über die Geographische Woche der Türkischen Geographischen Vereinigung (Türk Coğrafya Kurumu) im August 1973 in Konya und über die Entwicklung der Gesellschaft der Geomorphologen der Türkei 1964 bis 1973.
Abstract
In 1964, an association of geomorphologists in Turkey was founded at P.K. 160, Bakanliklar, Ankara, which has now published three works. Publ. of Assoc. of the Geomorphologists of Turkey No. 1, Ankara 1973 (119 pp.) contains an overview of the very diverse activities of geomorphologists and other geoscientists at universities, scientific institutes, in the working groups of a whole range of Turkish ministries, and in large state-owned economic enterprises. This is followed by concise information on the development of geoscientific research and its practical application in the first half-century of the Turkish Republic, as well as reports on the first congress for scientific and technical geomorphology in Turkey in March 1973 in Ankara, on the geoscience conference held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Turkish Republic in December 1973 in Ankara, on the Geographical Week of the Turkish Geographical Association (Türk Coğrafya Kurumu) in August 1973 in Konya, and on the development of the Society of Geomorphologists of Turkey from 1964 to 1973.
