European Journal of Mineralogy is published bimonthly, 1 volume per year, which consists of 6 numbers with between 900 and 1400 pages.EJM publishes strictly original papers and review papers, both reviewed by an international board of peers: it currently carries no advertisements.
Time of publication
The average time span between submitting a manuscript and publication is about 6 to 8 months (Volumes 22-26, 2010-2014), the shortest achieved for an article being 1.5 month. The manuscript rejection rate is on around 40%.The EJM's impact factor (= the average number of citations in ISI journals of each journal article per year) of the last ten years is between 1.19 and 1.49, which ranks EJM amongst the top mineralogical journals (after Contributions to Mineralogy and Petrology, American Mineralogist, Lithos, Physics and Chemistry of Minerals, Mineralium Deposita and Applied Clay Science).
