Publication Ethics Statement

  1. Editorial and Peer Review Process

Single-Blind Peer Review: This journal operates under a single-blind peer review model. The identities of the peer reviewers are kept strictly confidential and hidden from the authors throughout and after the evaluation process. Reviewers are provided with the full details, names, and institutional affiliations of the authors.
Fair Play: Editors evaluate manuscripts solely for their intellectual content and geomorphological merit.
Confidentiality: Editors, editorial staff, and reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts and peer review correspondences as strictly confidential. No details or contents of a submission may be disclosed to anyone outside the immediate evaluation process.

  2. Integrity and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policies

No AI-Generated Content: This journal does not accept manuscripts, text, figures, maps, models, or data generated or significantly altered by artificial intelligence (AI) tools, Large Language Models (LLMs), or text-to-image generators. All submissions must be the original work of human authors.
Detection and Enforcement: The journal reserves the right to screen submissions using AI-detection software. Any manuscript found to contain unauthorized AI-generated content will be rejected immediately or retracted if already published.

  3. Duties of Reviewers

Objectivity and Contribution: Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is unacceptable. Reviewers must express their views clearly with supporting arguments to help the editors make informed decisions and assist authors in improving their work.
Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers must immediately decline to review a manuscript if they identify a conflict of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors or institutions linked to the work.

  4. Duties of Authors

Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works. Any work or words of others must be appropriately cited or quoted. Plagiarism in any form is strictly unacceptable and will result in immediate rejection or retraction.
Multiple or Concurrent Publication: Authors must not submit or publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research to more than one journal concurrently.
Authorship Criteria: Authorship must be strictly limited to individuals who made significant contributions to the conception, design, field execution, modeling, or interpretation of the geomorphological study.
Errors in Published Works: If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they are obligated to promptly notify the journal editor to issue a correction.

  5. COPE compliance

This journal complies the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
