Financial publication support by Deutsche Meteorologische Gesellschaft (DMG)
The DMG Executive Board has decided to support up to five publications in MetZ per year with up to € 1000 each in order to partly reimburse publication costs to scientists with no or only limited funding for publishing their work, e.g. once their active career has ended or when they are no longer employed by scientific institutions. The maximum support covers the basic fee of 140 € and seven article pages (119 € each).
How to apply for publication support
To apply for publication support, please send the manuscript to be published in MetZ, with abstract and information on motivation, methodology and essential results, a table of contents, the completed and signed publication support application form (download application form here), and a statement why publication support by the DMG is required to the editorial office of MetZ.
Publication support applications are reviewed by the DMG Publication Funding Committee at short notice. The Funding Committee subsequently informs the author of its decision, whereupon the author may regularly submit the manuscript to MetZ online. The authors must notify DMG Office by email within two weeks in case of manuscript rejection by MetZet; if accepted, the awarded funds are transferred to the author as soon as he provides proof of payment of the manuscript fees to the DMG Office.
