Abstract
Proceeding from the preparation of the Tectonic Map of China (1977), compiled according to the writer's diwa theory ("diwa" being a Chinese term, meaning "geodepression"), the geotectonic characteristics of China are analysed. Twenty tectonic units are distinguished and briefly described. Based on the geotectonic characteristics of China, the history of development of the crust is discussed and a dynamic model for crustal evolution is proposed.
Résumé
Les caracteristiques géotectoniques de la Chine sont analysées d'après la carte tectonique de la Chine (1977) compilée suivant la théorie diwa de l'auteur ("diwa" étant un terme chinois pour "géodepression"). Vingt unités tectoniques sont distinguées et brievement discutées. L'histoire du développement de la croûte est discutée d'après les charactéristiques géotectoniques de la Chine, et un model dynamique de l'évolution crustale est proposé.
