Abstract

Three species of the lichen genus Roccella were analysed by HPLC concerning the distribution pattern of the lichen substances in the Thallus. In general older parts of the thallus contain smaller amounts of lichen substances than younger parts. In the soralia and the apothecia the pattern of secondary products differs as well in quantity as in quality from the rest of the thallus.
