Abstract
Los generos Bathmoceras, Desioceras, Eothinoceras y Margaritoceras son descritos y ilustrados procedentes del Canadiano terminal (Ordovicico basal) de la Argentina y de la Bolivia. Estos géneros demuestran una fuerte afinidad norteamericana. Estos Bathmoceratidae aparentemente migraron desde el actual polo norte hacia el sur; donde Dictyonema flabelliformis y formas congenéricas son formas cambricas. La correspondiente zona faunística es obsolete.
Abstract
The genera Bathmoceras, Desioceras, Eothinoceras and Margaritoceras are described for Argentina and Bolivia, being late Canadian, Ordovician, in age. They demonstrate a strong North American influence. All these Bathmoceratidae apparently migrated from the actual North Pole to the South, where Dictyonema flabelliformis and congeneric forms are Cambrian in age and obsolete as stratigraphic zone
Kurzfassung
Die früh-ordovizischen (Canadian) Vertreter der Gattungen Bathmoceras, Desioceras, Eothinoceras und Margaritoceras werden aus Argentinien und Bolivien beschrieben. Sie zeigen einen starken nordamerikanischen Einfluß. Alle diese Bathmoceratiden wanderten offensichtlich vom jetzigen Nordpol her nach Süden. Dort sind Dictyonema flabelliformis und verwandte Formen kambrischen Alters, und die entsprechende Zone ist nicht brauchbar.
