Kurzfassung
Die Ford-Werke AG haben bis 1985 eine ehemalige Tongrube als Monodeponie für Galvanikschlämme genutzt. Da die Deponie nicht mehr dem heutigen Stand der Technik entspricht, war eine Anpassung an die TA Abfall (BUNDESMINISTER FÜR UMWELT, NATURSCHUTZ UND REAKTORSICHERHEIT 1991) erforderlich. Eine vergleichende Bewertung verschiedener Sicherungs- und Sanierungsmethoden auf der Grundlage der hydrogeologischen Verhältnisse hat eine Auskofferung und Entsorgung des Galvanikschlammes auf einer Sonderabfalldeponie als günstigste Maßnahme ergeben. Im folgenden Beitrag wird über die Gesamtmaßnahme sowie die im Zuge der Bauarbeiten aufgetretenen Probleme berichtet.
Abstract
Until 1985, a former clay pit was used by Ford Motor Company AG as disposal facility for galvanic sludges. As this facility did no longer meet present technical standards for environmental protection, upgrading and improvements according to the criteria of the "TA Abfall" (Technical Requirements - Waste Disposal, BUNDESMINISTER FÜR UMWELT, NATURSCHUTZ UND REAKTORSICHERHEIT 1991) were required. Several containment measures and remedial concepts were assessed on the basis of local and regional hydrogeological conditions. Excavation and disposal of the galvanic sludges at a special waste disposal facility proved to be the best alternative. This publication summarizes the implementation of the remedial concept and discusses problems during construction.
