Kurzfassung
Es wird eine Übersicht gegeben über die im heutigen Deutschland bisher bekannt gewordenen silurischen Ostrakodenfaunen (mit Ausnahme der Geschiebe-Ostrakoden). Aus den Köbbinghausen-Schichten (Prídolí) des Ebbe-Gebirges werden die ursprünglich aus Geschieben beschriebenen baltischen Arten Nodibeyrichia gedanensis (KIESOW, 1884) und Frostiella cf. pliculat. MARTINSSON, 1965 bekannt gemacht. Erstere ist wahrscheinlich mit der nordamerikanischen N. pustulosa (HALL, 1860) synonym wie schon KIESOW (1890) vermutete. Die Ostrakodenfauna der Köbbinghausen-Schichten ähnelt sehr jener aus der Stonehouse Formation von Nova Scotia, Kanada; beide gehören einer Faunenprovinz an. Aus dem Ostrakodenkalk der Lindener Mark bei Gießen (Wenlock/Unterludlow) wird eine dort häufige neue Art der ursprünglich aus Geschieben Norddeutschlands aufgestellten Gattung Opisthoplax und die ähnliche neue Gattung Katzungia mit ihrer neuen Art Katzungia bisua beschrieben.
Abstract
A review is given of the occurrences of Silurian ostracodes in the present-day Germany (except of geschiebes of Northern Germany). From the Köbbinghausen beds (Prídolí; Ebbe Anticline), the Baltic Nodibeyrichia gedanensis (KIESOW 1884) and Frostiella cf. pliculata MARTINSSON, 1965 are figured. N. gedanensis is presumably conspecific with the North American N. pustulosa (HALL, 1860) as assumed already by KIESOW (1890). The ostracode fauna of the Köbbinghausen beds is very similar to that from the Stonehouse Formation of Nova Scotia both belonging to the same faunal province. From the "Ostrakodenkalk" of the Lindener Mark near Giessen (Wenlock/Lower Ludlow; Hesse) a new species of the Baltic genus Opisthoplax is described which is very common in that limestone, and the similar new genus Katzungia with its new species Katzungia bisua is established.
