The genus Costaclymenia in Europe (Ammonoidea, Late Devonian)

Abstract
Species of the genus Costaclymenia are, in several regions, common components of early late Famennian (Late Devonian) ammonoid assemblages. Although often cited in the literature, a modern revision of the original material from Central Europe and Great Britain has not previously been undertaken. We revise the following species: Costaclymenia binodosa (Münster, 1832) with the proposal of a neotype, C. kiliani (Wedekind, 1914) and C. muensteri (Ansted, 1838).
