Kurzfassung
Aus der nordchilenischen Präkordillere werden 5 hermatypische Korallen-Gattungen vorgestellt; eine Art ist vermutlich neu. Die Korallenkalke markieren eine beginnende Transgression im Bajocium. Das mit Ausnahme der borealen Gebiete weltweite Auftreten von Riffkorallen zu dieser Zeit spricht für ein sehr warmes und ausgeglichenes Klima. Als biogeographische Besonderheit fallen in N-Chile die zahlreichen mäandrierenden Formen auf.
Abstract
Five hermatypic coral genera from the north Chilean Pre-Cordillera are presented; one of the species is probably new. The coral limestones mark the beginning of a transgression in the Bajocian. Except in boreal regions, the occurrence of hermatypic corals is world-wide in this period and indicates a warm and balanced climate. An unusual biogeographic phenomenon is the abundance of meandroid forms in N-Chile.
Abstract
Se presentan 5 generos de corales provenientes de la Precordillera del Norte de Chile. Una especie es probablemente nueva. Las calizas con corales representan el comienzo de una transgresión que ocurrió durante el Bajociano. En ese tiempo, con excepción de las regiones boreales, se encuentran en todo el mundo corales hermatípicos, que evidencian un clima cálido y compensado. Varias formas meandroides son biogeográficamente características del Norte de Chile.
