Kurzfassung
Die Wohnkammer-Erhaltung von Opalinuston-Ammoniten wird neu diskutiert. Die Ursache für die frühdiagenetische Zementation wird im primär höheren organischen Stoffbestand der Füllung der Wohnkammer im Vergleich zum umgebenden Sediment gesehen. Die anschließende Bruchdeformation unterstreicht diese Vorgänge.
Abstract
Body chamber preservation of ammonites from the Opalinus-Clay is restudied. The reason for early diagenetic cementation is brought about by the originally higher content of organic material in the filling of the body chamber compared with that of the ambient sediment. Subsequent fracture deformation underlines this process.
