Perimarginal and antral structures in some primitiopsides (Palaeocopina, Ostracoda)

Abstract
The new species described (Kielciella arduennensis n. sp.) indicates that the form of the perimarginal structure (ridge or tubercles) in primitiopside heteromorphs is not generically or supragenerically fixed. Moreover, examination of the antral structure shows that, besides the previously recorded types of antra [indiscrete antrum, distinct and externally widely open antrum, and a closed externally and internally antrum (false pouch)], a fourth type of antrum, closed externally but widely open internally, is here for the first time reported in Buregia Polenova, 1953 [B. ovata (Kummerow 1953)]. It appears, partly, as an analogue to the crumina in beyrichiides and indicates that a crumina like structure may, potentially, be developed in any palaeocopine group provided with a dolon. In addition, the new discovery in B. ovata has, in a like manner, completely changed the systematics of the genus Buregia.
Kurzfassung
An der als neu beschriebenen Ostrakoden-Art Kielciella arduennensis n. sp. wird gezeigt, daß die Form der primitiopsiden Perimarginal-Struktur, Rippe oder Tuberkel-Reihe bei den Heteromorpha, nicht generisch oder supragenerisch fixiert ist, sondern ein art-spezifisches Merkmal darstellt. Untersuchungen betreffend die Antral-Struktur der Primitiopsidae lassen erkennen, daß bei dieser Familie (falls ein Antrum überhaupt entwickelt ist) neben den drei bereits bekannten Ausbildungen - flaches und stark reduziertes Antrum, deutliches und weit geöffnetes Antrum sowie völlig geschlossenes Antrum ("falsche Bruttasche") - ein vierter Bauplan besteht: ein zwar nach außen geschlossenes, aber zum Domicilium geoffnetes Antrum. Diese Struktur, hier beschrieben an Buregia ovata (Kummerow 1953), hat gewisse Ähnlichkeit (Analogie) mit der Crumina ("Bruttasche") der Beyrichiidae und beweist, daß brutraum-ähnliche Strukturen bei dolon-tragenden Palaeocopina iterativ entstehen können. Auf Grund des neuen antralen Bauplans wurde die systematische Stellung der Gattung Buregia Polenova, 1953 revidiert.
