Abstract
In an earlier paper (Sarjeant 1985), it was shown that the genus Cerbia BELOW 1981 should be treated as a taxonomic junior synonym of Tenua EISENACK 1958. It was considered also that the species C. tabulata (DAVEY & VERDIER 1974) fell within the range of morphological variation exhibited by Tenua hystrix EISENACK 1958 and should be treated as a taxonomic junior synonym of that species. These views were challenged by STOVER & WILLIAMS (1987); they are here reiterated, a series of illustrations at uniform scale being presented in demonstration.
Kurzfassung
In einer früheren Veröffentlichung (SARJEANT 1985) wurde aufgezeigt, daß die Gattung Cerbia BELOW 1981 als das taxonomisch jüngere Synonym von Tenua EISENACK 1958 zu betrachten ist. Gleichzeitig wurde darauf hingewiesen, daß die Art C. tabulata (DAVEY & VERDIER 1974) in die morphologische Variationsbreite von Tenua hystrix EISENACK 1958 fällt und deshalb als jüngeres Synonym jener Art zu gelten hat. Diese Ansichten wurden von STOVER & WILLIAMS (1987) bestritten. Sie werden hier aber an Hand einer Serie von Abbildungen in einheitlicher Vergrößerung bekräftigt.
