Abstract
The family Egorovellidae comprises a few genera of Ordovician ostracodes that are characterized by a special kind of sexual dimorphism (egorovellid dimorphism). Until now the family was known only from Siberia by the following genera: Egorovella Ivanova, 1960, Bodenia Ivanova, 1960, Egorovellina Kanygin, 1965, Curvilobella Ivanova, 1968, Valentella Neckaja, 1973 and Lenatella Melnikova, 1976. The discovery of two new genera from Novaya Zemlya contributes to both biodiversity and geographic distribution of the family.
Kurzfassung
Die Vertreter der Familie Egorovellidae sind charakterisiert durch einen speziellen Geschlechtsdimorphismus (egorovellider Dimorphismus). Die Familie war bisher nur aus Sibirien durch vier Gattungen bekannt. Der Nachweis zweier neuer Gattungen von Nowaja Semlja erweitert sowohl die Kenntnis über die Diversität dieser Familie als auch über ihre geographische Verbreitung.
