Kurzfassung
Nach einer zusammenfassenden Beschreibung der Tridymit-Struktur werden die wichtigsten Baufehler und ihre strukturellen Ursachen vorgestellt. Rekonstruktive Stapelfehler entstehen bei Umwandlungen durch unregelmäßige Folge der Tetraederschichten. Eine Erklärung liefert das Keimbildungs-Wachstums-Modell. Wachstums-Zwillinge (im wesentlichen drei Gesetze) sind meist auf Stapelfehler zurückzuführen. Displazive und distortive Polymorphien treten als Folge der Phasentransformationen auf und erzeugen komplizierte Röntgenbeugungsbilder.
Abstract
A short description of the tridymit structure is followed by presentation of the most important structural defects. Reconstructive stacking faults are a result of phase transformations and are caused by irregular sequences of layers of tetraedra. An explanation for their existence is given by the nucleation and growth model. Growth twins (according to three main laws) are due to stacking faults. Displacive and distortive polymorphism results as a consequence of phase transformation and produces complicated X-ray patterns.
