Abstract
I am rather surprised to see that my "Dissenting Comments", without intention, stirred up a whasp's nest. To me and to many of the colleagues-not only in my country but elsewhere, too-the large number of opposing statements makes evident how one-sided the composition in the group of personal members in the International Subcommission on Stratigraphic Classification is. Furthermore, the sharpness of reaction and the almost emotional diction of some of those statements seems to indicate how much of a dogmatic creed Hedbergianism has become in this group as well as in the ACSN. In view of these facts it is my feeling, that the criticism expressed by my comments and by my subsequent memorandum are more than justified.
