Abstract
Basidiomata were collected from Fairy Meadows, Gilgit-Baltistan and Margala Hills, Islamabad, Pakistan during routine field tours and analyzed on the basis of morphological and molecular phylogenetic analysis by using the DNA sequences of internal transcribed spacer regions of the nuclear ribosomal RNA genes. The specimens were found morphologically similar to Porodaedalea himalayensis and P. indica and molecular phylogenetic tree supported their positions with already known P. himalayensis and P. indica. Porodaedalea himalayensis represents first record from Pakistan and P. indica is being reported for the first time from Islamabad, the capital territory.
