Abstract

Pappimyces n. gen., typ. sp. P. hastatus n. sp., is characterised by pale brown conidiophores, polyblastic conidiogenous cells arranged in umbells and hyaline conidia in which a ventricose apex is connected by an isthmus to a cylindrical base. Umbellidion n. gen., typ. sp. U. radulans n. sp., has similar conidiogenesis to Pappimyces but conidia are small, straight or curved and fusiform.
