Abstract
By means of columnar and thin-layer chromatography, the presence of carotenoids in Cyanophyceae (3 species), Euglenales (2 species), Xanthophyceae (1 species), Chlamydomonadaceae (1 species), Oocystaceae (1 species), Scenedesmaceae (3 species), Chaetophoraceae (1 species), Ulotrichaceae (1 species), Zygnemataceae (4 species), Cladophoraceae (3 species), Ulvaceae (1 species), Charales (2 species), Phaephyta (2 species) and Rhodophyta (6 species) was studied. The qualitative and quantitative differences were observed.
