Abstract

The present contribution is the result of a study carried out on the freshwater algae of the Juan Fernandez Islands. Algae growing in many aquatic environments such as brook or small streams, ponds, submerged areas, rocks or wet walls were investigated. This study includes 60 taxa, belonging 21 to Cyanophyceae, 3 to Xanthophyceae and 36 to Chlorophyceae.
