Abstract

During the study of parasitic fungi on Hippophae rhamnoides in Romania an apparently unknown species of Epipolaeum (Ascomycetes, Dimeriaceae) was collected. Its morphological characters are considered sufficiently distinct to warrant the description of a new species.
