Abstract
A detailed taxonomic account of the W. Himalayan Thelypteridaceae has been prepared. Keys, descriptions, distribution data (only for W. Himalaya) and chromosome numbers have been provided. This is the first such account of the family from any Indian region. The present work forms a part of an attempt by the senior author (S. P. K.) to prepare a fern flora of W. Himalaya.
