Abstract

The genus Penzigia Sacc. & Paol. Xylariaceae is being recorded here for the first time from the forests of Himalayas (India). Three species: P. cadigensis (Yates) Mill., P. macrospora Penz. & Sacc., and P. poroniaeformis Petch are new records for India. Notes on distribution of P. capparidis (Mundk. & Ahmad) Ahmad and P. placenta Petch are furnished.
