Abstract
Two samples from “Lough Neagh” and one sample from a brook in Broughshane (N.-Ireland) have been investigated. Hereby an astonishing number of diatoms have been found, which are new to Ireland or generally very seldom; among them a new species (Navicula umbilicatissima) is described. To some species remarks are made, diagnoses are widened and new figures are given.
