Upper surface of the pileus velvety or covered with a thick villose cover. Hymenophore with sinuose and anastomosing lamellae, alveolar, partly daedaleoid or almost poroid. Hyphal system incompletely dimitic or pseudodimitic. Hyphae densely agglutinated, (2)-3-7 μm in diam.; generative hyphae sparsely branched, with rare clamps. Skeletal hyphae unbranched or (partly) sparsely branched. Cystidia absent. Hyphal pegs present, 70-180 μm long and 15-65 μm in diam. Basidia broadly clavate, with 4 sterigmata. Spores fusoid-ellipsoidal or elongate-obovate, with a large apiculus, thin-walled, hyaline, inamyloid, adextrinoid and acyanophilous, 8-14 x 5-8.5μm. Spore print white.
