Abstract

Three species of Coleochaete, C. echinocystis, C. andreae, C. circularis, are described based on material collected from lakes of north-eastern Poland. Their thalli are flat, unilayered and circular in outline. The species seem to be closely related and are discriminated due to the sculpture of a germling cell wall, early stages of development or thallus morphology.

Kurzfassung

Drei Arten von Coleochaete, C. echinocystis, C. andreae und C. circularis, werden aufgrund von Material aus Seen in NO-Polen neu beschrieben. Ihre Thalli sind flach, einschichtig, rundlich im Grundriß. Diese Arten scheinen ziemlich eng miteinander verwandt zu sein. Man unterscheidet sie aufgrund der Skulptur der Zellwände der Keimlinge, der frühen Stadien der Ontogenese und der Morphologie der Thalli.
