Abstract
This paper presents a taxonomic description of eleven rare and new taxa of Vaucheria collected from northern India. Besides, a key for the identification of 21 taxa of the genus so far recorded from India has been provided. V. venkataramanii and V. randhawae are the two new species discovered.
