Abstract

Ten taxa of the family Meliolaceae representing the genera Amazonia, Armatella, Asteridiella, Irenopsis and Meliola were selected for the study of ascospore germination on their host material under natural conditions. The opposite cells of the ascospores in Armatella litseae empty their contents into the germinating cells and collapse in the latter stage.
