Abstract
Continued floristic research in eastern Brazil requires the following new combinations in the Sematophyllaceae: Sematophyllum fluminicola (Mull. Hal.) W. R. Buck, S. leucostomum (Hampe) W. R. Buck, S. pulvinale (Hampe) W. R. Buck, S. warmingii (Hampe) W. R. Buck, and Trichosteleum glaziovii (Hampe) W. R. Buck. Extensive new synonymy is proposed.
