Abstract
The moss genus Regmatodon (Regmatodontaceae) is revised on a world-wide basis. Based on examination of types for each of the names in the literature two species, R. declinatus (Hook.) Brid. and R. polycarpus (Griff.) Mitt., are recognized. Keys to the species are presented as well as a complete list of synonomy, descriptions, discussions on morphology and distribution, and specimens examined. Where available, information is given on the ecology of each taxon. The species are illustrated with photographs.
