Abstract

Brachythecium bellicum nov. is described from Morocco, northern Africa. It belongs to section Velutina De Not. and the diagnostic characters are the longly apiculate, smooth or scarcely plicate leaves, costa extending to the middle of the leaf and the smooth seta.

Abstract

Se describe Brachythecium bellicum nov. procedente de Marruecos, en África del Norte. Pertenece a la seccion Velutina De Not. Sus caracteres más importantes son la presencia de filidios largamente apiculados, lisos o poco plegados, nervio que se extiende hasta la mitad del filidio y seta lisa.
