Abstract
Jiří Váňa published over 500 scientific and popular science papers, which are provided here from a list that he maintained himself and was made available for this volume. Additions to the list of publications are made posthumously by his wife Marie Váňová and Söderström, Kučera and Engel edited into the current format. In addition, Jiří also wrote several lecture “text book chapters” internally published by the university. He also made several floristic surveys for which unpublished reports exist as manuscripts, and he translated several popular books into the Czech language, mainly from German. Those kinds of publications, although listed by Jiří himself, are not included in this list.
