Kurzfassung
Dieses Themenheft umfasst sechs Artikel, die sich mit dem Oligozän in Mitteldeutschland beschäftigen. Arnold Müller, der Hauptautor dieses Heftes, und seine Ko-Autoren stellen damit den Kenntnisstand zum Oligozän in Mitteldeutschland und ihre Interpretationen zusammenfassend dar. Leider verstarb Arnold Müller vor der endgültigen Fertigstellung des Heftes. Nachfolgend werden die Artikel dieses Heftes kurz vorgestellt. Eine Würdigung des Lebens von Arnold Müller schließt sich an.
Abstract
This special issue comprises six articles dealing with the Oligocene in Central Germany. Arnold Müller, the main contributor to this collection, and his co-authors summarise the state of knowledge and their interpretations on the Oligocene in Central Germany. Unfortunately, Arnold Müller died before the issue was entirely completed. The contents of the contained articles are briefly summarised below, followed by a tribute to the life of Arnold Müller.
