Drawing up Seismo-Engineering Expert Reports for Sites of Increased Secondary Risk Based on the Standard KTA 2201.1
To draw up seismo-engineering expert reports for sites with increased secondary risk is not standardized. For nuclear facilities in Germany, the standard KTA 2201 part 1 is the basis for such expertise. In the present paper, our deliberations and knowledge coming from our practice during the compilation of seismo-engineering expert reports are reflected. The corresponding demands out of KTA 2201 part 1 are prefixed and discussed in each chapter as well as the proposals which had been worked out by a team of the Reactor Safety Commission (RSK). Beside the proposed deterministic evaluation of the design earthquake, also the probabilistic estimation is demonstrated, according to the state of science and technique. For each site the design earthquake with its probability of exceedance has to be fixed as well as the site dependent response spectrum and the strong motion duration. It is our aim to provide the reader assistance to evaluate other peer reports and to write down their own, too.
