Abstract

Columbinia exul n. sp. is described from the tepuí Cerro de la Neblina, Amazonas State, Venezuela. The species is unusual among members of the subfamily Neniinae because of its occurrence on acidic sandstone terrains, in contract to most other Neniinae, which occur on calcareous terrains.
