Abstract
Aphis euphorbiae Kaltenbach 1843 and Aphis gerardianae Mordwilko 1929 are two black aphids living on Euphorbia. The present paper gives morphological data of a large number of investigated specimens and some additions and corrections to existing descriptions and determination tables. Furthermore, results of enzyme electrophoretic studies on these species are presented. The two taxa are morphologically and biochemically well distinguishable.
