Kurzfassung
Das Campanium Westfalens lieferte eine interessante neue Selachier fauna, in der bis jetzt etwa 30 Taxa bestimmt werden konnten. Die Beschreibung dieser Fauna ist in mehreren Publikationen geplant. Vorliegende Arbeit befaßt sich mit den Vertretern der Supraordo Squalomorphii, die im bearbeiteten Material bislang mit 9 Taxa vertreten ist. Davon ließen sich 6 spezifisch bestimmen, 4 sind neu: Squalus vondermarcki n.sp., Eoetmopterus supracretaceus n. sp., Cretascymnus westfalicus n.sp. und Centroscymnus praecursor n. sp. Eine Gattung wird neu eingeführt: Eoetmopterus n.g. Im Anschluß an die Beschreibung der Taxa erfolgt eine kurze Diskussion paläobiologischer Aspekte der Squalidae-Assoziation.
Abstract
In the Campanian of Westphalia a new Selachian fauna has been discovered. In this fauna about 30 taxa are determinable up to now. This paper gives a description of 9 taxa of Squalomorphic sharks, 6 are determinable on specific level, 4 are new: Squalus von dermarcki n. sp., Eoetmopterus supracretaceus n. sp., Cretascymnus westfalicus n. sp. and Centroscymnus praecursor n. sp.. One genus is introduced as new: Eoetmopterus n. g. Paleobiologic aspects of this fauna are briefly discussed.
