Vectisuchus leptognathus, n. g. n. sp., a slender-snouted goniopholid crocodilian from the Wealden of the Isle of Wight

Abstract
A new mesosuchian (Crocodylia) from the Wealden of the Isle of Wight (Great Britain) is described as Vectisuchus leptognathus, n. g. n. sp. While many of its characters are consistent with its inclusion in the family Goniopholididae, this animal differs from all previously known Goniopholididae in possessing a slender and somewhat elongate snout.
Kurzfassung
Ein neuer Mesosuchier (Crocodylia) aus dem Wealden der Insel Wight (Großbritannien) wird als Vectisuchus leptognathus n. g. n. sp. beschrieben. Obwohl viele seiner Merkmale mit solchen der Familie Goniopholididae übereinstimmen, weicht doch dieses Tier von allen bisher bekannten Goniopholididae durch seine schmale und etwas verlängerte Schnauze ab.
