Abstract

Based on new collections of Melophia ruprechtiae on Ruprechtia laxiflora from Tucumán, Argentina, and comparison with the type specimen, Ophiodothella ruprechtiae comb. nov. is proposed and described. It is associated with leafspots; the development of the anamorphic and teleomorphic structures are distinguished and its holomorphic cycle is described in the studied host.
