Abstract
Seventeen species of Laboulbeniales occurring on Coleoptera Chrysomelidae are reported for the first time from Ecuador, thus bringing to 135 the total number of these fungi in the country, and the species associated with Chrysomelidae to 31. These species are Dimeromyces hermaeophagae, D. homophoetae, Laboulbenia arietina, L. cf. armata, L. cephaloleiarum, L. chaetocnemae, L. diabroticae, L. disonychae, L. durantonii, L. flabelliformis, L. fuliginosa, L. hermaeophagae, L. homophoetae, L. maecolaspidis, L. parasyphraeae, L. percolaspidis, L. systenae. Several records of these same species are also reported from Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, French Guyana, Honduras and Venezuela. The synonymy between Laboulbenia arietina and L. bergii is established.
